Recover from CPTSD with Energy Psychetherapy
Post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is known in relation to veterans of war, car accidents, etc., which entails being in shock. Complex PTSD (CPTSD) refers to veterans of traumatic childhoods, multilayered shock.
How to heal from shock is not commonly understood. How to heal from CPTSD is less understood. Shock occurs frequently. Feral animals are most used to it. Being connected to their primal selves, they naturally freeze, like a bird stunned from flying into a window. They also naturally unfreeze, and fly away.
In the 'civilized world' we are taught to override our primal instincts, control ourselves, keep calm and carry on. But to the extent we override ourselves, we repress our feelings into the unconscious, which lives in the body. We'll think we're fine, but the body knows the truth. We act out unconsciously, while the body becomes more tense, and potentially unwell. A healthy person has flow in their systems, relaxation as a baseline, and ease of living.
Until the deepest shock layers unwind and dissolve, previous therapeutic modalities remain in suspended animation. When the shock(s) do clear, the full effectiveness of therapies can finally bring us to where we've needed to go; to the congruent, stable, secure, and happy beings we were meant to be. No longer developmentally arrested as far back as conception, which is where shock can begin, we can relish in our maturity at long last.
Just like a crack in the wall, with enough stress or the right triggers, the wall can’t hold, the trauma can’t hide. To heal and grow we must attend to the shock that resides in our bodies. Shock is nature's anesthesia. It helps us survive unbearable situations. Shock is felt in the body and remains therein until it is released. As release from shock occurs, all previous therapies become more effective.
Healing from trauma and shock is about experiencing where we are hurt or stuck in a safe environment; working with and following the subconscious and body as our guide.
We learn to allow energy that was once stuck to move, release and create space in the mind, body and psyche. As healing occurs, the shame body concurrently shrinks, leaving the sufferer to feel freedom, ease of breathing, ease of living, and eventually joyful satisfying intimate relationship. We were built to endure and survive unimaginable horrors, just growing up in a "normal" family. Indeed many families are unconscious combat zones even with the most well meaning and intentioned parents.
Because of the increased awareness and attention to veterans of war and the struggles they can have returning to civilian life, we have become more educated and informed about PTSD, with CPTSD now coming to the forefront
Freedom is absolutely possible.
Beryl Weisman has been successfully working with clients for over 30 years with specialized focus on CPTSD since 2008.
Beryl works with clients across the globe, treating the core issues or injuries that keep them feeling timid, angry, afraid of deep intimacy, unable to go the next step with life goals, bogged down with worry, regret, fear, and shame.
Healing and becoming resourced has a powerful impact on the capacity of the mind and body to heal.
Beryl's trainings with Ray Castellino drives her knowing that we are imprinted from pre-birth and those conditions or circumstances imprint and pattern our adult lives and challenges. Birth and pre birth trauma/shock become the invisible or hidden drivers that we navigate by.
As a certified mediator, parenting educator, and non-violent communication teacher in Santa Barbara and the County Jail for nine years, Beri brings highly developed communication skills to the inner-personal and inter-personal dynamics of individuals, couples and families.
Beri trained for five years in Pre- and Peri-Natal work. She does birth work with infants and people of all ages. Working at this core level produces formidable transformation.
Couples work: Energy Psychetherapy can be especially helpful for couples who find themselves continually struggling with the same issues. When our hidden injuries play out in our primary relationships we are in fact in a relationship of three: you, me and our traumas. This dynamic can lead to heartbreaking frustration and a deep rooted sense that nothing is ever going to change. Working through one's shock opens the door to deeper intimacy, more satisfying sexual connection, true balance and equanimity in our partnerships, leading to unlimited possibility for growth, joy, and celebration.
The experience of working with Beri is comprehensive, multi-layered, dynamic, efficient, and highly effective.
